Transportation Resources

Las Vegas offers several transportation services that can help residents who are underserved or facing financial challenges get to work, school, medical appointments, and essential services. The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) provides affordable bus routes throughout the valley, including discounted passes for seniors, people with disabilities, students, and low-income riders. Programs like RTC Paratransit and community shuttle services support residents with limited mobility, while nonprofit and social service organizations often partner with transportation providers to offer free or reduced-cost rides for medical care and job access. Together, these resources help make transportation in Las Vegas more accessible and reliable for residents who need it most.

Free Non-Emergency Air Transportation by Angel Flight West

Angel Flight West provides free, non-emergency air travel for children and adults with serious medical conditions and other compelling needs. This is to help families in need, enabling them to receive vital treatment that might otherwise be inaccessible because of financial, medical or geographic limitations.

Angel Flight West provides flights to and from hospitals and other medical facilities for people requiring treatment, such as surgery or chemotherapy, for any serious medical condition. In some cases, Angel Flight West also arranges flights in organ transplant situations – for the organ recipient, organ donor, and the organs themselves. However, Angel Flight West is not an “air ambulance” and does not fly people in emergency situations.

Angel Flight West can arrange “compassion flights” for individuals who need to visit critically ill or injured family members, and flights to relocate survivors of domestic violence.

This program covers residents of the following states: AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA and WY.
